Medicine For the Body ElectricEveryone’s talking about energy! Not just the energy that we use to fuel our cars, wash clothes, or turn on the lights, but the energy that makes up all of matter, including you and me. In the most literal way, we are beings of energy – beings of light. A ll of the ‘stuff’ of the universe is energy, and this energy moves or vibrates at different frequencies. Our energetic frequency is as unique as our fingerprint. Also, every part of our bodies has a specific energetic vibration. When this vibration is altered or disrupted, that part of the body cannot function properly. That’s where energy medicine comes in.
In the 1940′s Russian Nobel laureate Albert Szent-Gyorgyi pioneered what he called “electronic biology”. He suggested that the proteins that make up our body are actually conductors. Subsequent research around the world eventually bore that out, proving that our proteins, even the smallest parts of our cells, are semiconductors. Research by Gerhard Bausle and Richard McFee of Syracuse University, N.Y. in 1963; by David Cohen of MIT in 1970, and later researchers also showed that different parts of the body produce different magnetic fields.
Our bodies are, in fact, an electronic network that can detect and conduct energy, and interpret and store the information held in that energy. We now know that our cells generate and use electrical energy to communicate with each other, and that they emit electrical fields that can be detected on the skin. Each organ and tissue in our bodies produces a unique biomagnetic field, and this field is affected by illness or disease.
Energy medicine can be applied in many ways. Homeopathy, for instance, uses the healing energy frequencies of certain plants, minerals and other substances. Some energy medicine practitioners utilize ‘tools’ such as radionics ( energy manipulating equipment) or crystals. There are also documented cases where practitioners with clairvoyant or intuitive abilities sense energy imbalances and transmit healing energy with their hands, or with colour, music or crystals. Sometimes, a practitioner may take a combined approach. For example, energy medicine expert Bojan Schianetz can sense energy disturbances, and he also uses hi-tech radionic equipment from Germany both to assess and correct a person’s energy disturbances.
Subtle energy technology (radionics) was developed by Dr. Albert Abrams in the 18th century. In the 1930′s, another American, chiropractor Dr. Ruth Drown found that radionics also worked from a distance, based on the holographic principle . According to this principle, each piece taken from the hologram contains the information of the whole. From an energetic viewpoint, the vibrational imprint of a person’s photograph, hair, or blood are part of the unique energetic hologram of that person. This means that a small portion removed from the whole, i.e. a drop of a person’s blood or hair reflects the total energetic structure of that person.
This holographic nature of our cells makes it possible to expose the person‘s hair sample or blood to healing vibrations which will reach that person‘s energy field, regardless of distance. Using radionics, the healer can send the correct, energy-balancing vibrations to a client continuously, day and night, using a small sample or simple photograph.
Energy medicine has been around in one form or another for thousands of years, and after a few fits and starts, is now becoming hugely popular for two reasons. First, it works! And it works on the most fundamental level of health and being: our energy field.
Second, energetic medicine is now validated by science. Quantum physics has finally confirmed that we are energy beings, and do indeed inhabit a universe made up of energy. What’s more, the new field of Epigenetics is revealing that we…not our genes…affect how this energy is manifested in the health or disease of our bodies. Einstein was referring to this when he said: “The field is the sole governing agency of the particle.” In other words, explains Biochemist Bruce Lipton, it is the energetic environment we create with our life choices and thoughts that shapes our physiological reality.
This ability to affect energy fields is the fundamental principle of energy medicine, a rapidly-growing approach to health that ‘tunes into’, manipulates and balances the body’s energy field in order to identify and correct problems. It does this by restoring the right energy balance, allowing the body to return to health naturally and gently. One well-known and scientifically verified application of this principle that we can affect our body’s energy field and processes is biofeedback, which is now widely used by heart specialists to help patients improve heart health and fuctionality.
Health problems show up in the energy field before they materialise in the body, and can be detected by some energetic practitioners before the person experiences physical symptoms. By the time the symptoms appear, the disease or illness is already somewhat developed. That is why most energy healers strongly encourage clients to be pro-active in maintaining and ensuring continuing good health.
“One way to do this”, explains energy medicine expert, Bojan Schianetz, “is to be self-aware. You are the best person to judge when things are going out of balance. You start feeling stressed, less patient, irritable. You lose your enthusiasm, become more anxious or pessimistic. These are the first signs that something needs attention.”
When health problems do occur, the cells involved have an unhealthy frequency. A healthy spleen cell, for example, has a different frequency to the cell of an unhealthy spleen. If the vibration of the diseased cells is changed and maintained at a healthy frequency, then the cells will heal. They will also exert a healing influence on the surrounding cells. In this way, correcting an energy imbalance in one area can improve the overall energy balance.
Energy medicine corrects energy imbalances by removing the blockages in the body’s energy pathways (or meridians), and replenishing, purifying and rebalancing the energy field with healing frequencies. The body can then heal itself as it was designed to do with marvellous efficiency. Treatment is non-invasive, safe, and gentle, and because it works on the level of energy, it can often achieve very fast results, depending on the person and condition.
Despite its ancient origins and scientific backing, energy medicine is still viewed by many with some suspicion and scepticism, as were many other great ‘innovations’ of medical science. It was decades, for instance, before science accepted that disease could be transmitted by germs. As physicist Max Planck once gloomily said: “a new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die.”
Yet over the last decades, distinguished scientists worldwide such as German biophysicist Fritz Popp, PhD; UCLA professor Valerie Hunt, PhD, and founder of Temple University’s Center for Frontier Sciences, Beverly Rubik, PhD have explained the science behind energy medicine, confirming, as Nobel laureate Professor William Tiler of Stanford University predicted, that “future medicine will be based on controlling energy in the body.”.
“Yes, some people are sceptical at first,” said Mr. Schianetz, “but they are soon convinced by the outstanding results”.
The beauty of energy medicine is that it works on the whole person. Our energy field reflects not just physical energy but the psychological and spiritual dimensions of being as well. Wellness is a state of balance on all levels. If one dimension of our being is out of harmony, it will eventually lead to disharmony on other dimensions, so the energy healer works on harmonizing mind, body and spirit. Inevitably, this kind of therapy puts patients of the path of self knowledge and acceptance. Healing becomes part of their spiritual journey.
